Hi Jim, Some batteries are shipped with a preservative in them that requires a special break in period, but Tattu batteries are not shipped with preservative and ready to go once they hit your doorstep (confirmed with Tattu) If you want your batteries to last long, we recommend that you charge slowly (1C) Don’t over-discharge, and don’t discharge them faster than their advertised C-rating. 2. Question

I ordered some Tattu 1800 4s 45c lipos. Is that discharge rate 45c good enough for running 30A esc and red bottoms with the potential to pull 20A/ motor?

HI Blaine, quick math- 1800/100=1.8A *45C= 81 / 4= 20.25A per motor- I think you would be fine if you have looked at your motor/prop combination and determined that they pull a max amperage of around 20A. Remember, the Tattu 1800 can sustain higher current output than 45C for a very short (burst) period of time. More on this here: https://quadquestions.com/blog/2014/12/27/qav250-c-rating-explained/
