Description

Combine the latest FC tech with a high-current capable PDB and you get DTFc, the new heart of your minicopter. Connect all ESC and battery leads directly to this one small board to clean up your wiring, increase build speed, and reduce size, weight, and part count. Integrated 1.2A 5V regulator provides enough power for LED strips, cameras, small VTXs, your RX, lap transponders, and other equipment. Flat-bottom construction means you can mount it directly to your frame.  This board is made by the same guys that make the Naze32 but designed by DTF-UHF, and innovator and engineering genius that has brought many advancements to this hobby.

DTFc features the latest sensor from Invensense with the lowest rate noise in their entire sensor family.

The OSDoge can be stacked on top of DTFc to easily add an MWOSD-based on screen display!

Proudly designed in Canada
Manufactured in Glorious Nippon

Windows 7 and older, if you don’t see your board as a com port, download drivers here

The following info from Cleanflight documentation may be helpful for flashing if you’re having trouble:

Chrome can have problems accessing USB devices on Windows. A driver should be automatically installed by Windows for the ST Device in DFU Mode but this doesn’t always allow access for Chrome. The solution is to replace the ST driver with a libusb driver. The easiest way to do that is to download Zadig. With the board connected and in bootloader mode (reset it by sending the character R via serial, or simply attempt to flash it with the correct serial port selected in Configurator):
•Open Zadig
•Choose Options > List All Devices
•Select STM32 BOOTLOADER in the device list
•Choose WinUSB (v6.x.x.x) in the right hand box Zadig Driver Procedure
•Click Replace Driver
•Restart Chrome (make sure it is completely closed, logout and login if unsure)
•Now the DFU device should be seen by Configurator

Build Notes

  • FrSKY SBUS users – Smart Port telemetry must use a UART other than the one in use for the serial receiver.  That means UART 1 or 2.  Connect the ‘tx’ pin only and set telemetry to Smart Port in the ‘ports’ page of Cleanflight / Betaflight
  • The power rail (middle pins) on the motor outputs are connected to each other but don’t carry 5V from the board unless you solder the jumper by output 1 (which isn’t usually necessary unless you’re trying to tap 5V for some other device)
  • The buzzer pad (marked Bz) is a ground, not power.  5V power is on the opposite side of the board.  To make your buzzer even louder you can connect the +’ve side of the buzzer to direct battery power
  • The battery power pads beside the buzzer are directly connected to the battery and can be used to power your vtx (if it can handle direct battery voltage levels)
  • Current sensor data can be relayed to the Taranis – both current level and ‘fuel’, which is mAh used.  You can then set the radio to call out values and alarm at desired thresholds just like battery voltage or RSSI.
